The Directorate of Distance & Continuing Education, Utkal University is offering 2 years Masters’ Degree in Arts (M.A.) through distance education mode. Admission is going on for Post Graduate Courses (M.A.) in Oriya, History, Political Science, Sanskrit, Education, English, and Public Administration. For all the courses except Education, any graduate in 10+2+3 stream or equivalent are eligible. For Education, on needs to have a graduate degree (10+2+3) with education as a subject of study at graduation level or B.Ed. from a recognized university. The number of seats for each course is 200. In order to pass the examination, every student needs to attend the Personal Contact Programme, conducted by the university for 10 to 15 days, where students can attend the classes and clear any doubts regarding their study from the lecturers.

You can collect the application form from the Bank/Post ) Offices in the university. The cost of application form is Rs. 150. You can also collect application form by post in exchange of Rs. 200. The draft should be drawn in favor of Director, DDCE, Utkal University, payable at Bhubaneswar, drawn on SBI / Syndicate Bank. The last date for submission of application form along with all the necessary documents is 6th August, 2008.
