Education and India

September 14, 2009 By: admin Category: Education and India No Comments →

India has been regarded as a country that is rich with possibilities but sadly has not always been able to do its best, not least in the global scenario. It has been stated in various circles, both social and economic, that much of this situation that India finds itself in is a result of some situations on the educational front that can not be termed as being exactly satisfactory.

In various global economic indexes that are concerned with financial progress it has been observed that the less than ideal situation of the primary level education in India has been a major thorn in the country’s flesh of progress.

Even though efforts are being made to make primary education available to a bigger section of the population in India it seems that these efforts have to get even better from what they already are at the moment. All this is necessary to make sure that India fares better in the global standings.

Recession has hit the entire world really hard and this has meant that the economies of most countries are in a state of flux. India is no exception to this global phenomenon and it sure needs investment like anything from the economic superpowers that be. Unfortunately, these investments are based much on global standings where India is at a position where it would not like to be. Education continues to be a major issue in that regard.

If the steps that are already being taken are not bettered then it would become that bit tougher for India to make much headway in the global economic rankings and receive those investments that can help it get back at its feet.
